Brian Regan Joins Spectrum Equity as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer
Spectrum Equity, a leading growth equity firm, today announced that Brian Regan has joined the firm as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Regan’s primary responsibilities will include overseeing the firm’s financial operations, including accounting, financial and tax reporting, treasury, portfolio valuation and analytics and financial planning. In addition, Mr. Regan will help Spectrum’s portfolio companies scale and drive operational excellence through his active involvement in investment due diligence, strategic planning, financial controls, commercial growth efforts, operational efficiency improvements and CFO mentoring.

Mr. Regan has more than two decades of finance experience and has served in senior financial leadership roles at several prominent companies. Most recently, Mr. Regan served as Chief Financial Officer at Shutterfly, Inc. (NASDAQ: SFLY), where he was responsible for managing all aspects of financial activities, including strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, customer insights and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, tax, treasury and legal.
Prior to joining Shutterfly in 2012, Mr. Regan served as CFO at Nextag, as well as EVP and CFO of Ticketmaster Entertainment. Earlier in his career, he held finance leadership positions at LendingTree and later Expedia, Inc., where he last served as SVP Finance overseeing Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Hotwire, and TripAdvisor. Mr. Regan began his career as a CPA at Price Waterhouse, providing audit and consulting services to various clients in the financial services and capital markets industries.
