Benchmark receives award from King Charles III on PM’s recommendation
Benchmark Mineral Intelligence has received The King’s Award for Enterprise in the category for International Trade.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK.
This is His Majesty King Charles III’s second awards following his desire to continue the legacy created by HM Queen Elizabeth II.
This year 252 businesses have been recognised for their contribution to International Trade, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Promoting Opportunity (through Social Mobility).
Benchmark CEO, Simon Moores said:
“To receive the King’s Award from His Majesty King Charles III and on the Prime Minister’s recommendation is of huge significance for us.
Benchmark was founded on the principle that independent and accurate market prices and intelligence are a cornerstone to the electric vehicle and energy storage era.
We were founded with no investment in 2014 to become the most valuable business in the world for what we do.
From our bases in London and Swindon, and harnessing the strength of UK-based talent, our team have guided the decision-making of leaders across energy, transportation, technology, finance and politics under times of immense change.
Benchmark has steered the allocation of billions of pounds of capital investment, putting British research and intellectual property at the heart of the global push towards clean energy.
Benchmark’s impact is being felt not just in our industry but at the highest levels of global influence.
All of Team Benchmark send our deepest gratitude to The King and Prime Minister Sunak for this award.”
About The King’s Award:
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed last year to reflect His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 58th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with successful businesses able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.
The awards celebrate the success of exciting and innovative businesses which are leading the way with pioneering products or services, delivering impressive social mobility programmes, or showing their commitment to excellent sustainable development practices.
